Beginner’s Guide to Trying out Thai Cuisine.

Food lovers love to try out new dishes and cuisines .However, there are few who are keen on trying out new dishes and cuisines but, are not sure which ones to try out as a beginner .Well this blogs for you. Here is a list of dishes that are my favourite dishes in Thai cuisine that is definitely worth trying:
1.Kaeng phet ( Red Curry) Chicken: First of all a small note-“ Kaeng is also spelled as Gaeng”.
Small sliced chicken meat is cooked in coconut milk along with red curry paste prepared using dried red chilli and other Thai spices. This is then sautéed with green bell peppers and ginger garlic paste. And finally sprinkled with Kaffir lime leaves for the Aroma. This is then served with rice or roti. This is my favourite delicious Thai recipe. Definitely you ought to try this one out.

2. kaeng khiao wan ( Green Curry) Chicken:
Sliced pieces of Chicken is cooked with coconut milk and Green curry paste( prepared with Green chilli and Thai spices). Once the curry is cooked more coconut milk along with palm sugar and fish oil is added. Finally garnished with Thai basil or kaffir lime leaves. This is then served with rice or roti. If you like a perfect blend of sweat and spicy dishes this is a must try.Served with rice or roti.

3. Spicy Tom Yum Soup: This is usually cooked with shrimps. Stock, lemon grass, kaffir lime leaves, galangal ,lime juice fish sauce and crushed chilli peppers are the main ingredients. I ask them not to add the fish sauce in every dish I order since i am not a big fan of fish sauce .

4. Gai Pad Med Ma Muang (Thai stirred fired Chicken with Cashew Nuts):This is yet another delicious recipe that is a must try .As the name suggests it is stirred fired chicken with cashews in it. The taste of well cooked chicken along with the cashews in it is what makes the whole dish amazingly delicious.

5. Spicy Ginger Chicken– Chicken stir fried and cooked along with ginger and red pepper so as to get the spicy flavour and finally garnished with finely chopped spring onion and served with steam cooked rice.

6. Pandan Leaf Chicken: This is a fun snack .Chicken pieces are wrapped in Pandan Leaf and is secured with a toothpick , this is then deep fried in hot oil.

7.Spicy Thai Mango Salad: Enjoy a healthy Salad with sliced green mangoes mixed in palm sugar sauce, fresh chilli and crushed peanuts.

8. Massaman Chicken Curry: Marinated chicken is cooked slowly to seal in the flavours. The curry sauce is moderately spicy with the coconut milk added to the curry making gives it a special flavour. Try a crispy roti with this curry it definitely makes it extra special.

9. Thai lemon chicken: This is a crazy and delicious dish with a spicy and tangy flavour. Finely chopped chicken cubes is cooked whisked well in corn starch and cooked along with lemon zest , sugar and other thai spices. Served hot with steamed rice.
