Cat Socrates- A beautiful store in Singapore for Cat Lovers🐈.

Hello Cat Lovers!!

Cat Socrates, as the name suggests is a cat-themed eclectic retail shop in Singapore. The reason I chose to write a blog on this retail store is simply because of my love for cats and how amazingly appealing the ambience of the store really is. I love cats! Me and my sis, we basically grew up with cats. We had six cats at home. I personally feel I have this special magical connection with cats. Haha! it’s true you don’t choose cats they choose you!

For those who have seen “Good Witch” series on Netflix, we know that the shop “Bell, Book and Candles” is a shop with a great ambience that we all love in the series.
Well, if you have felt there’s magic in the ambience of ” Bell, Book and Candles” and wished to visit a shop that looked just like that you definitely must visit “Cat Socrates” when you come to Singapore.

Amidst the busy hustle of the city of Singapore with multiplexes, themed cafes and fast food chains. Cat Socrates is a retail shop with handcrafts designed especially for a cat lover, therefore, having a unique beauty to it. It’s a great shopping paradise for cat lovers. The best part is their collection of beautiful postcards and cat figurines. I could spend my entire day at Cat Socrates.

There are two branches in Singapore. One branch is at Bugis at Bras Basah Complex 231 Bain St, #02-25, Singapore 180231 while their second branch is open at Katong.

Chestnut is a fluffy Ginger brown cat at the branch at Bugis ( Bras Basah complex) and they have Zoo Zoo short for Zoolander at their branch at Katong.
These two cats are so adorable. I still remember the first time I walked into the shop. I was spellbound by the whole vibe of the beautiful shop. I had just finished my dance and music classes at Bras Basah ( Bhaskar’s Art Academy) and was walking across the lane of bookstores, that’s when I came across this shop. I was so enamoured by the name of the shop itself, that I walked right into the shop to check out what they offered. To my surprise, I was so happy to see a cat ( Chestnut) sitting at the reception welcoming me. It took me a few minutes to actually notice the receptionist who was helping the other customers. When asked who the shopkeeper was, the receptionist replied: “Chestnut is the shopkeeper at Cat Socrates Bras Basah shop and Zoo Zoo is the shopkeeper at their Katong shop”. Isn’t that cute!

The store has so much to offer, I’ll probably be visiting the shop again soon.
