Go on a Shopping spree at Saturday Night Market, Goa, India.

I was really curious to know what was so special in it that people actually wait for Saturday to go shopping. Well, it was after going there that I realized why. In fact I highly recommend visiting the ‘Saturday Night Market’ on your next trip to Goa.

You should definitely visit it to experience the actual beauty of street shopping at Goa, India.
Recently I had visited Goa to meet my parents. One day during our usual discussions at home dad told me about the Saturday night market. We enjoy shopping in Goa since it’s real fun .

As the name suggests the Saturday Night market is open every Saturday night and closes at 12 am the next day.

I was amazed by the whole ambience of Saturday night market. A myriad of stalls arranged one next to the other, juxtaposed in a way so as to give the feel of a maze of shops ,enticing shopaholics to go on a shopping spree.

There were stalls selling traditional handicrafts, antique and traditional jewellery ,Handlooms, Street food from various parts of India, fancy home decors , handwoven jute and cotton bags, etc .The presence of live music added beauty to the ambience.

There are so many more street shopping areas in Goa .A few of them are mentioned below:

• Anjuna flee market.
• Agonda Street Markets.( Check out my blog on “ Beach days at Goa to know more).
• Saturday Night Market in Arpora,Goa.
• Baga Street Market.
• Mapusa Street Market.

However I personally enjoying the first 3 on this list.
The Photographs below will definitely give you an idea of the ambience of Saturday Night Market :

If you visit Goa don’t forget to check out the Saturday Night Market since you’ll definitely be able to shop some really cool things and add to your collections list.

Note: Well, they do sell things at a slightly higher rates since there are a lot of tourists shopping here. So do bargain to bring down the rates before buying but that doesn’t make it an unreasonably pricy place definitely do visit to experience the fun.
