"A New Beginning" | Couple Travel Tales

Life is full of surprises. Here’s a story to explain further. This is the Story of a young girl (age-8yrs)who loved books. Her favourite hobby was reading and best friends were books .She was a simple girl who loved reading different genres like fantasy ,science fiction and mystery. She used to spend most of her time reading .During breaks or class hours when her friends don’t find her, they never got worried even for a minute as to where she could probably be , they simply would rush to the library and find her there. She was glad she had friends who liked her for who she is, among the others who always made fun of her for having the most boring hobby. Yeah that’s right “reading”.
Her dad was in a transferable job. So she never got to stay in one place to study and make friends.. Every time she finally gets friends and is happy to settle in,( after all the awkward moments at school because of her hobby) her dad comes home with the news that they are moving to a new place since his tenure of working in this branch is over. Ahh! how she hated it..since this meant that she will have to go through all that she went through in this school all over again.. the bullies..the taunts ..her classmates calling her names like bookworm.. nerd, boring snail etc…etc.
But she never wanted to disappoint her parents who loved her for who she is. Besides she always wanted to be a strong woman when she grows up , for which she knew she had to put up a bold face on and move on in life .
Over the years she slowly gave up reading especially in college libraries since she realised the mocking part was worse in colleges than in schools. She read books only at home ..when she came for vacations. She noticed the change in her life .. she got many friends, no one teased her since they hardly saw her go to the library .Students who were like her were now the main victims of ragging . She was glad she was not being the victim anymore . Though she did notice ,not all people hated reading .. there were many who loved it ..but her past was haunting her .She was just too scared to let anyone know she loved reading . However , her love for books was still there very much alive in her.
She missed reading so she got herself busy with academics.. scored well.. finished her graduation and then post grad.. This life was fun too. Her field was Biotechnology. It was as if she had found a new love after a long time. DNA Extraction, Competent cells preparations ..DNA Cloning and recombinant DNA Technology.. she was intrigued by all the new experiments and research she did. Life was getting better day by day.
As always said the best part is yet to come. Now let’s flip a few pages of her life and read ahead.. She gets married after a few years. It was after they got married that she asked him what his hobbies were.. It had been quite a long time since she had ever asked anyone this particular question. Though she did wonder, why she asked him. She was not left thinking for long, as she got his reply almost few seconds after she asked. Her heart was filled with happiness when she got the reply. Tears of joy rolled down her cheek. She wanted to talk a lot about it but all she could do was just smile and reply “yeah mine too”. She knew at that moment that she would love him forever.
